The Wiz Reaction

The Wiz LIVEEEE was so fucking good

I know that I am last but I just had to write a post about the slaying that happened on Thursday night.I If you don't know what I am talking about, I am talking about The Wiz. For the people that don't know what the The Wiz is, it is the African American version of The Wizard of Oz. I honestly had my doubts on how this was going to go. "Was is going to be a hot mess?" "Is Mary J. going to dance and mess up?". "I hope that girl playing Dorthy doesn't fuck up". But I was so wrong. It was sooooooo fucking good. I am so proud and happy for the cast and the crew. Me being on African American (someone of color) you never that thought that you want see a live musical with a mainly African American cast. It just shows that we can do anything and do it great. Nothing is going to stop us because we can't be stopped.

When Shanice Williams (Dorthy in the musical) I got emotional. I was around my friends and I was not trying to cry. She is perfect example of going after your dreams and taking a chance. The fact that she is only 19 years old and fresh out of high school. She got a dream rule that was able to show the world how talented she is. She took a chance and look when it got her. Everyone's life is going to do different but as long as you know that everything will be okay.

That is what I want everyone to do when big things come your way. Take a chance, send the resume to your dream company, ask the guy out on a date, take that class your afraid to take. Just do it because you do know what is going to happen
